A Night Look

You know what I have a real problem with? When patterns don’t continue on to the back of the shirt. I’m sure you have a piece in your closet like this, in fact I know I’ve made at least one exception. But it is where the image, sequins, stripes, dots, whatever just stops at the seam of the outfit. Like they didn’t have enough of a budget to finish the rest of the garment with the same fabric. I’m just always a little bit confused as to “what happened here?” I’ve avoided buying some potentially cute outfits (from the front) because well, from the back it looks like you are wearing a plain T-shirt, jacket, dress etc.

This dress, luckily, is not a victim to that crime. Both it’s sequins and cheetah print continue onto the back pretty seamlessly. Thanks Rodarte, for another well made piece.
