Chunky Heels

Here is what I wore to the Sharks game; like I mentioned, not much teal, but I’m working on it for next time. It was only one short year ago when I loved thin heels, I felt like thick heels looked a little childish. How the times have changed. I absolutely love chunky heels now. Not that I have turned my back on my beloved skinny heels now, but these find a medium that is slightly more casual that the others might overpass. Especially when hanging out with my taller friends that I don’t have to be concerned with towering over. Also, trotting around all over downtown you would think they would have started to hurt, but they did not (I had a really hard time not squeezing ‘alas’ in that sentence while laughing quietly to myself.)
A mini story: I found this sweater at H&M last year and was amazed at how cool it was, I mean, everyone can do cheetah print, but it isn’t often that you find one that is such a kitsch pattern. Unfortunately, as I stared at it amorously I decided it was more than I was willing to pay at the time. Probably including the price of the 5 other items in my arms I had already decided I was purchasing. A month later I went back to the store with Courtney, (who am I kidding it was probably just a couple days) and it was marked down. Really marked down, probably about $15, and there was still a ton of them, I guess they weren’t selling. HA everyone’s avoidance of the sweater brought me that much closer to it, since it came home with me later that day. I still love it, even though there may be many people walking around that avoided buying it, thinking, “Ha, I can’t believe she bought that sweater.” I’ll be thinking right back “Thank you, for making my sweater so affordable.”
