Mix, Match, Accessorize
Wow, two posts in a row with the same sweatshirt. But it looks completely different doesn’t it? I think it was the beginning of my senior year in college when I realized a sweatshirt can actually look stylish when garnished with the right accessories.
Most of us don’t have the money to own enough clothing so that we can dispose of them after each use. (And why would you? They are all so beautiful.) Despite the fact that I have currently taken over another closet in my house and an extra portable rack, I often find that I am wearing the same thing again. Luckily, we enter the world armed with the power of mixing and matching.
Imagine, if you have 50 tops and 10 bottoms and 20 shoes… the amount of unique outfits is grand. Although, I will tell you, not all of them will be cute. I don’t recommend wearing your ________ … ok well I couldn’t think of anything that you couldn’t maybe make work. But if you do, please fill me in.
My favorite secret is accessories. Accessories can completely change the look of an outfit and you would be surprised how one simple gold necklace can make you look like you spent an hour longer to get ready. I have necklaces, bracelets and rings littered all over my room that I wear according to the look I am going for. In fact the picture at the top of the blog is all my own jewelry if that gives you an idea.
So my recommendation for the day, I suppose, is to invest in a couple rings, necklaces and some bangles. Ta-da! You just doubled your wardrobe.
