Mouse Flats

 

If you follow me on Facebook, you saw my mouse flats when I first got them but here they are in a post on the blog. Can I just say I love them, and can’t wait to get another pair? Perhaps a more literal one. I’m loving browns and ambers right now. I guess naturally since they are ‘the colors of the season’.

I’m not religious but I love the physical shape of the cross. This one in particular since it sequined and leopard is perfect for me because I think it plays a little on satire. It might be more fitted if it were a plus, or maybe even a division sign, just kidding. In fact it would be perfect if it was an Ankh, I could probably be ok with worshiping the thing that gives us energy and warmth daily.

Regardless, I think we draw inspiration from different cultures all the time; may it be a turban, caftan, sari, feathers, headdresses, fringe or a cross.
