Nautical Stripes and Slouchy Pockets

What I think is the most bizarre (potentially very clever, yet misleading) marketing is when companies have pictures of garments in their ads but do not actually have the piece in the store. That was the case when I saw this skirt; I absolutely loved it, but it wasn’t actually stocked in the store for two months after they had the ad plastered in the windows of the stores. I say it is clever because every time I walked by the store I had to go in, and though they didn’t have the skirt yet, I would always end up buying something else. 

They eventually sold it for $6 so it was an amazing deal. What I adore about this skirt is it’s slouchy pockets. It adds a completely different shape to the way it falls against your body, and the stripes emphasize the shape the pockets create. What’s ironic about these pockets, however, is that if you were ever to put something heavier in them, which I am guilty of doing time to time, it looks incredibly awkward. 

These are my last photos from our boat trip. I am excited to post some of the other stuff I have been wearing. There are some amazing photos coming up. We didn’t bring our dogs on this trip, it was really hard because I could count on one hand the number of nights I’ve left Soph alone on one had. Nonetheless, everyone thought it was really funny that another dog found his way into the images. Seems I have a magnet of some-sort.
