Epaulettes

Epaulettes have been very popular the past couple years. If you’re not familiar with an epaulette, it is a shoulder decoration, originally worn on military uniforms to signify rank or accomplishment. Luckily the trend hasn’t stopped at badges or chains but has found form in lace, sequins and now leaf petals. They recently created an outfit with leaf petal epaulettes on Project Runway and although it was made for a woman on stilts I loved it. When I saw this hanging in Forever 21 there was no question about grabbing it.
