I Wish I Lived in Paris

Dress: Boutique, Boots: Steve Madden, Bag: Urban Outfitters

This dress was hanging in the window of a boutique down town, and I would slow down every time I drove by it because I loved it so much. Finally I broke down and went into the store; to my luck, it was on sale and much more affordable than I had imagined.
I love the unique and timeless look of the dress most. It reminds me of an image I found on The Satorialist two years ago. The photo is of a few young teenagers in Europe. They are so stylish and unlike anything you would see walking down the streets in California. I wish I lived in Paris.
Some unique things to think about:
  – Not matching your colors. In this picture the belt, boots, and bag are all different shades of brown.
  – 3/4 length sleeves. I love sleeves. You’re showing leg, and they always seem to look so much leaner when you aren’t showing your arms as well.
 - Seasonless looks – Yes that was my made up term that I just reused. I can’t get over how much I love socks and layers with dresses. When it rains I always just want to curl up in a pair of blue jeans and sweatshirt, but whenever I imagine a woman in a dress under an umbrella it is oh so much more romantic.
