Mothers Always Have Good Advice

I fell in love with this dress before it was in stores. I love the boned top and where the skirt begins at the waistline. However, I’m not used to wearing dresses that end right above the knees like this one does. It is a length that just doesn’t look good with flats. I was planning on hemming it when my wise mother told me that it looked great the way it was. I realized that at this length I can wear it for more years; not to mention I have so many other dresses that are shorter, it wouldn’t make sense to alter one to add to that category. 

Even the most creative fashionistas can always take a little advice from his or her mother.
